AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON,
WASHINGTON, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.1361,
RELATING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF CERTAIN
STANDING AND 01HER COMPaTTEES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION L: Existing Section 1 of Ordinance No., 13.61, reading as
f oll ows :
"SECTION 1: The following designated Committees shall be
appointee by the Mayor and serve during the term of of-
fice of the Councilmen so appointed thereon and the
first Councilman so appointed shall be the Chairman
thereof, to -wit: Ways and Means Committee, three members;
Fire, Light and Water Committee, three members; Finance
and Claims Committee, three members; Auditing and Account-
ing Corrmiittee, three members; Pbliee and License Committee,
three members; Real Property Committee, three members;
Sanitation Committee, three members; Street and Alley Com-
mittee, three members; Law and Ordinance Committee, three
members; Public Relations Committee, three members; Legis-
lation Committee, three members; and Personal Property
Committee, three members."
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
AMENDED SECTION l: The following designated Committees shall be ap-

and License Committee, three members; Property Committee, three members;
Sanitation Committee, three members; Street and Ailey Committee, three
members; Law and Ordinance Committee, three members; Public Relations Com-
mittee, three members; Legislation Committee., three members; and Light &
Power Committee, three members.
SECTION 2: Existing Section 9 of Ordinance N0.1361 q reading as
follows M
"SECTION
9: The Committee on FIRE, LIGHT AND WATER
shall have supervision of all matters relating to
the safety and protection of the City from fire
and all matters relating to the lighting of the
City and all matters relating to the City water
system and such other matters as may be referred
to said Committee by the Council."
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
AMENDED SECTION 9: The Committee on Fire and Water shall have the
supervision of all matters relating to the safety and protection of the
City from fire and all matters relating to the City water system and such
other matters as may be referred to said Committee by the Council.
SECTION 3: Ordinance No. 1361 of the City of Renton, entitled:
"An Ordinance of the City of Renton, Establishing
certain standing committees of the City Council
and the duties thereof, establishing certain other
committees and repealing Ordinance No. 1066,sr
be and is hereby amended by adding thereto a new Section to be entitled and
designated: SECTION 17, to -wit:
"SECTION 17: The committee on light and power shall have
supervision of all matters relating to the lighting of
the City, the procurement of power therefor and the
supervision of all questions and matters effecting said
lighting and power."
SECTIOL, 4: Existing Sections 12 and 13 of Ordinance No. 1361, reading
as follows:
"SECTION 12: The Committee on CITY REAL PROPERTY shall
have supervision of all matters relating to Real Pro-
perty belonging to the City. The term "'Real Property"
shall include real estate and buildings.
SECTION 13: The Committee on CITY PERSONAL PROPERTY shall
have supervision of all matters relating to Personal
Property belonging to the City. The term "Personal Pro-
perty" shall mean all City properties not classified as
Real Property."
BE AND IH E SAFE ARE HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS F OLLOWWS :
AMENDED SECTIOiv 12: The Committee on City property shall have super-
vision if all matters relating to personal and/or real property or mixed, be-
longing to the City.
SECTION 5: That due to the consolidation of Sections 12 and 13 of
Ordinance No. 1361 into one Section,to-wit:Section 12,and the addition of
a new section, to-wAd : Section 17, all other sections subsequent to Section
12 are hereby renumbered accordingly.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and legal publication.
