AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
ANNEXING TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the 1%5
Session Laws of the State of Washington. a petition in writing re-
questing that certaiin property contiguous to the city limits of the
City of Renton, hereinafter more particularly described, be annexed
to the City or Renton, was presented and filed with the City Council
on the 30th day of September, 1952, bearing the signatures or the
owners of more than seventy-five percent (?5%) in value, to -wit one
hundred percent (100%), according to assessed valuation for general
taxation of the property for which annexation is petitioned herein,
which petition sets forth the legal description of the property ac-
cording to government legal sub -division or plats, and is accompanied
by plat or drawing outlining the boundaries of the territory peti-
tioned to be annexed; and the Planning Commission of the City of
Renton having considered and recommended the annexing of said proper-
ty to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Renton by resolution adopted at
its regular meeting on October 14, 1952s fixed Tuesday, November 11,
1952s at 8:00 o'clock P. M. at the City Council Chambers in the City
Hall in the City of Renton, Washington, as the time and place for
public hearing upon said petition, and notice of said hearing speci-
fying the time ana place thereof, and inviting all interested persons
to appear thereat and voice approval or disapproval of or objections
to the proposed annexation, has been duly published as provided by
law, and true copies of said notice have been duly posted in three
public places within the territory proposed for annexation more than
one week prior to said date of hearing; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such resolution and notice a public
hearing on said petition has been held by the City Council of Renton
at the tim and place specified in aforesaid notice, to -wit: the 11th
day of November, 1952, at 8:00 o ' clock P.M. and no objection written
or oral to the proposed annexation having been filed or made at such
hearing, and the granting of stLch petition being deemed proper and
advisable; now therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REsvTON Du ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1: Pursuant to provisions or Chapter 126 of the 1945
Session Laws of the State or Washington, it is determined that the above
mentioned petition ror annexation to the City or Renton of the jiroperty
and territory hereinbelow described be and it is hereby approved and
granted, and the following described property, being contiguous to the
city limits of the City of Renton situated in King County, State of
Washington, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of Renton,
effective on or after the 4th day of December 1952, and on and after
that date said territory shall constitute a part of the Zity of Renton
and shall be subject to ail the laws and ordinances of the City- of
Renton then thereafter enforced; said property being described as fol-
lows:
The North half (N2) of the Northwest Quarter (NW') or the South-
west Quarter (SW4) or the Southeast Quarter (SE') or Section
Nine (9), TowhLship 23 North, Range 5, E.W.M.,King County,
Washington.
Section 2: The above described annexed property eDn.tiguous to
Precinct No. 20 of Ward 1 of the City of Renton, shall be and con-
stitute a part of Precinct No. 20 of Ward 1 of said City of Renton.
Section 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage,
approval and
publication
as provided
by
law; and
said annexation shall
be effective
on and atter

of
December
1952; and a certified copy of this ordinance shall be filed with the
Board of County Commissioners of King County, Washington, as provided by
