AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON$ WASHINGTON, DECLARING THAT Ali
EMERGENCY EXISTS,.AMENDING THE BUDGET AND APPROPRIATING MONIES TO
PROVIDE FOR PAYMENT OF SALARIES, WAGES AND EXPENSES NECESSITATED BY
SUCH EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, since adoption of the original 1952 annual budget of the City of Renton,
it has become necessary to provide for the purchase of certain services and material,
and to meet other expenses, all of which were not forseeable at the time of the adoption
of the 1952 budget; including necessity of providing for and furnishing water meters to
newly annexed territory, providing for -the payment of salary to a Police Officer returned
from Military Service, and improvement of Airport facilities to meet the needs of the
National Emergency;
AND WHEREAS, it is necessary for the proper administration, operation and mainten-
ance of.the City and its departments, to appropriate funds for and out of the several
City funds as hereinafter set forth, for the payment of such expenses and capital outlay,
NOW THEREFORE.,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON
SECTION 1: That the foregoing recitals and facts are hereby found and determined
by the City Council to be true and existing, and by reason thereof the Council does
hereby declare that an emergency exists.
SECTION 2: That there be and hereby are allowed and established the following
SUMS for expenditure in each of the following classifications established in said 1952
budget, and said sums are appropriated for expenditure in the following classifications,
same being in addition to the provisions of said 1952 annual budget, to wit:

SECTION 3: This ordinance is an emergency ordinance which shall not be voted upon
until one week shall have elapsed after its introduction, and a copy thereof shall be
published as a proposed Ordinance, together with a notice of the time set for voting
thereon.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval and publication.
