AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING A CITY BUDGET
FOR THE YEAR 1954.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON$
WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the budget for the City of Renton for the year 1954
prepared and filed with the City Clerk, as modified and approved by vote of the
City Council October 5th, 1953 after due notice and hearing, be and is hereby
in all respects ratified and adopted as such budget, same being by this
reference incorporated herein as if fully set forth.
SECTION 2: That.there be and are hereby allowed and established the
following total sums for expenditures in each of the following classifications
in said 1954 budget, to -wit:
Salaries and wages . . . . $5491428.00
Maintenance and operation. . . . . . . . . . 269,419.00
Capital Outlay . . . . . . . . . . . . ... . . 49, 482.00
Cumulative Reserve Fund #1182. . . . . . . . . 51000.00
Cumulative Reserve Fund #1183. . . . . . . . 5,000.00
Cumulative Reserve Fund #1184. . . . . . . . . 101000.00
Interest and Bond Redemption . . . . . . . . . 71850.00
Total Expenditures (A). $960,179.00
Less Receipts from sources other than taxation $76,,460„00
Total to be raised by taxation . . . . . . . . $194,719.00
Expenditures to be made from bond issues not
yet authorized (for the acquisition of a
Power & Light System, including Engineering

SECTION ',: That a copy of the budget as hereby adopted be transmitted
to the office of the State Auditor of Washington, Division of Municipal
Corporations,
SECTION 4: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and legal publication.
