ORDINANCE NO. 1484
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, MOMITING
PARKING AND ESTABLISHING A LOADING AND UNLOADING ZONE ON
CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE CITY OF RENTON, AND PROVIDING A
PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RENTON AS FOLLOWS:_
Section 1: "Loading Zone". A loading zone as herein defined is a
designated portion of the street along the curb reserved for use in load-
ing and unloading commodities, merchandise, produce, freight or animals
by commercial vehicles only.
Section 2.
There is hereby established and designated a loading
zone for loading and unloading of commercial vehicles only on the follow-
ing described and designated portions of the following streets, to -wit:
a. Beginning at a point on the southerly curb line of Walla Walla Avenue,
north of the NE corner of Block 15 of the Town of Renton Plat; thence
southwesterly along said southerly curb line for a distance of 30 feet.
b. Beginning at a point on the southerly curb line of Walla Walla Avenue,
north of the NE corner of Block 20, of the Town of Renton Plat;: thence
southwesterly along said southerly curb line for a distance of 30 feet.
Section 3: It shall be unlawful to stand, park or angle -park any
vehicle in any place established as a loading zone as hereinabove defined,
except for the purpose of and only for such period of time as is neces-
sary for, the expeditious loading or unloading of such commercial
vehicles.
Section 4: That all ordinances and parts of ordinancesin conflict
herewith be and the same are hereby repealed and superseded.
Section 5: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the
provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction thereof shall be fined in a sum not exceeding $25.00.
Section 6: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication.
