ORDINANCE NO. 1600 .
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON,
RELATING TO POLICE JUDGE PRO TEMPORE, PROVIDING
FOR HIS APPOINTMENT.AND QUALIFICATIONS AND FIX-
ING THE COMPENSATION FOR SUCH SERVICES, AND
REPEALING ,ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
THEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Pursuant to Chapter 60 of the Session Laws of 1953,
the Mayor shall appoint, in the event of the Police Judge's inability to
act,f during any temporary absence, or if he should be disqualified, from
among the practicing attorneys and qualified electors of the City, a
Police Judge pro tempore. Such appointee, before entering upon the
duties of such office, shall take and subscribe an oath as other judicial
officers, and while so acting, he shall have all the power of the Police
Judge.
Such appointment shall not continue for a longer period than
the absence or inability of the Police Judge. Such Police Judge pro tem-
pore shall receive as his compensation for such services the sum of
/l>�� per day.
SECTION II: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its approval, passage and legal publication.
