AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, VACATING
A PORTION .OF SOUTH _131ST STREET LYING BETWEEN 87THAND
88TH AVENUES SOUTH,, IN RENTON, KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON.
WHEREAS, a proper petition for vacating a portion of South,131st Street
lying between .87th and 88th Avenues South, in Renton, King County,.Washington,-
as hereinafter more particularly described, was duly filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Renton on or about December 16, 1957, signed by all the owners of
the property abutting upon portions of said street sought to be vacated, which
petition was then referred to the Planning Commission for its, approval; and
WHEREAS, the City.Council after due investigation did, by Resolution,
fix and determine the 25th day of March,. 1958, as the date of public hearing on
said petition and directed the Clerk to give notice of said hearing in the manner
provided by law; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk has duly caused notice of such hearing
to be published and to be posted for the time and in the manner provided by law,
and the City Council having duly considered said petition and all other matters
relevant thereto and at said time and hearing having voted to grant said petition
for vacation, and WHEREAS the City Council finds that the vacating of the herein-
after described portion of said street is proper and advantageous to all concerned
and will serve the public interest and will not cause injury or damage to any
properties or person, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS':
SECTION I: The following described portion o.f:South 131st Street,
a public street, to -wit:
a. That portion.of=South 131st Street lying between.
87th Avenue South and 88th Avenue South, in Renton,
King.County,,Washington,
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY VACATED; RESERVING, HOWEVER, UNTO THE CITY -OF RENTON
A PERPETUAL EASEMENT.FOR ALL PUBLIC PURPOSES AND USES, SAID .EASEMENT TO BE THE
CENTER 10 FEET OF THE PORTION.OF THE STREET SO VACATED.
SECTION II: This.Ordinance shall be effective from and after its
