AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, AMENDING
CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 2,- TITLE V, ENTITLED "BUSINESS
REGULATIONS11 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1628.ENTITLED „CODE OF GENERAL
ORDINANCES;OF THE CITY OF RENTON",
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I: Existing,Section 5--202, Chapter 2 of Title V (Business
Regulations), of Ordinance No. 1628, entitled "Code of General Ordinances of the
City of Renton' reading as follows.:
"Section 5-202 (a) TAX LEVIED: There is hereby levied and imposed
upon .every person (including children, without regard to age) who
pays an admission charge to any place, including a tax on persons
who are admitted free of charge or at reduced rates to any place
for which other persons pay a charge or a regular higher charge for
the same or similar privileges or accommodations, which said tax
shall be in the amount of one cent for each twenty cents or fraction
thereof paid for the admission charge."
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
Section 5-202 (a) as Amended: TAX LEVIED: There is hereby levied and
imposed upon every person {including children, without regard to age) who pays
an admission charge to any place, including a tax on persons who are admitted
free of charge or at reduced rates to any place for which other persons pay a
charge or a regular higher charge for the same or similar privileges or accom.
modations, which said tax shall be in the amount of one-half of one per cent
on the amount of such admission charge.
SECTION II: Existing Section 5-211 entitled 'ADMISSION TAXES REDUCED11
reading as follows:
„Section 5-211: ADMISSION TAXES REDUCED: All admission taxes or
other charges imposed.and collected under the provisions of the
preceding sections are hereby reduced by forty percent (407.), and
such -reduction shall be effective on and after the 1st day of
January, 1957. .(Ord. No. 1571 10-9-1956)"
BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
Section 5-211, as Amended ADMISSION TAXES 2EDUCED: All admission
taxes or other: -charges imposed and collected under the provisions of the pre-
ceding sections, except as provided for and specified.in Sections 5«202 (a), (b),
(c), (d), and (e), are hereby reduced by forty per cent (407.), and such reduction
shall be effective on and after the 1st day of January, 1957.

SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its pa ssage, approval and legal publication.
