AN ORDIANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING CERTAIN
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF RENTON.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session Laws of
the State of Washington, as amended, a petition in writing requesting that certain
territory contiguous to the city limits of the City of Renton, as hereinafter more
particularly described, be annexed to the City, was prepared and filed with the City
Clerk of the City of Renton on or about August 12, 1959, bearing the signatures of
the owners of more than seventy-five per cent (75%) in value according to the assessed
valuation for general taxation of the territory for which annexation is petitioned
herein, which petition sets forth the legal description of the property according to
governmental legal subdivision or plats, and was accompanied by a plat or drawing
outlining the boundaries of the territory petitioned to be annexed; and the Planning
Commission of the City of Renton having heretofore considered and recommended the
annexing of said property to the City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Renton fixed Tuesday, September 8,
1959 at 8:00 P.M., at the City Coancil Chambers in the City Hall ,of the City of Renton,
as the time and place for public hearing upon said petition, and public notice thereof
having been given as required by law, including publication in the City's legal
newspaper, inviting all interested persons to appear thereat and voice approval or
disapproval of or objections to the proposed annexation, and a public hearing having
been held at the time and place specified in aforesaid notice, and the Council having
been advised in the premises and having heard all matters in connection therewith,
and the granting of said petition being deemed proper and advisable and in the public
interest, NOW THEREFORE,
FOLLOWS:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS
SECTION I: Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 128 of the 1945 Session
Laws of the State of Washington, as amended, it is determined that the above mentioned
petition for annexation to the City of Renton of the property and territory herein-
below described be and it is hereby approved and granted, and the following described
property being contiguous to the city limits of the City of Renton situated in King

County, State of Washington, be and the same is hereby annexed to the City of
Renton, effective on and after the passage, approval and publication of this
Ordinance; and on and after said date said territory shall constitute a part of the
City of Renton and shall be subject to all the laws and ordinances then thereafter
enforced; said property being described as follows:
Beginning at the intersection of the south line of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 8, Township 23 North, Range 5, E.W.M. with the
west line of Primary State Highway No. 1. (fake Washington Boulevard
S.E.); thence north and northeasterly along the west and northwesterly
line of Primary State Highway No. 1 (Lake Washington Boulevard S.E.)
to the north line of Section 81 Township 23 North, Range 5, E.W.M.;
thence east along the north line of Section 8, Township 23 North,
Range 5, E.W.M. to the easterly line of Primary State Highway No. 1
F'A1-405; thence southeasterly along the easterly line of Primary
State Highway No. 1, M - 405 to the south line of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 81 Township 23 North, Range 5, E.W.M.; thence
west along the south line of the Northeast Quarter and Northwest
Quarter of Section 8, Township 23 North, Range 5, E.W.M. to the
west line of Primary State Highway No. 1 (Lake Washington Boulevard
S.E.) the point of beginriingoall situate in King County, Washington,
SECTION II: The above described annexed property contiguous to Precinct
No. of the City of Renton shall be and constitute a part of Precinct No.
of the City of Renton.
SECTION III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage, approval and legal publication as provided by law. Certified
copies of this Ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of
King County, State of Washington, and such other governmental agencies as provided by
law.
