AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, MT,FNEXING
PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF RENTON, UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF CHAPXER 128,
OF THE SESSION LAWS OF THE STATE OF WASHINGTON FOR 1945.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of Chapter 128 of the Session Laws
of the State of Washington for 1945, a petition in writing asking for
the annexation of certain property contiguous to the City limits of
the City of Renton, hereinafter more particularly described,has been
filed with the City Council signed by the owners of not less than 75%
in value according to the assessed valuation for general taxation of
the property for which annexation is petitioned, which petition sets
forth a legal description of the property and was accompanied by plat
or drawing outlining the boundaries of the property sought to be
annexed, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore fixed September 18, 1945,
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Renton, Washington, as the
time and place for a public hearing upon such petition, and a copy of
said notice was published in the Renton Chronicle, a legal newspaper
of the City of Renton, and was posted in three public places within
the territory proposed for annexation, which notices specified the time
and place of such hearing and invited interested persons to appear and
voice approval or disapproval of the annexation, and
WHEREAS, at the time and place set for said hearing no one appeared
to voice disapproval of the annexation.
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Renton do ordain
as follows:
SECTION 1: That pursuant the provisions of Chapter 128 of the
Session Laws of the State of Washington for 1945, the following des-
cribed property, contiguous to the City limits of the City of Renton,
to -wit :

That portion of the Henry H. Tobin Donation
Claim #37 in Township 23 North, Range 5, East W.
M., and of Government Lot 16, Section 18, Town-
ship
own-ship 23 North, Range 5 East, W. A.I., lying north
of the right of way of the Chicago, Milwaukee,
St. Paul and Pacific Railroad; east of State
Highway #5; south of southeast 136th Street
(Third Avenue); and west of Shattuck Street;
including that portion of the above described
property platted as Wefancs Add'n (Vol. 39 of
Plats, Page 21 records of said County) TOGETHER
with that portion of Southeast 136 Street (Third
Avenue) adjoining said property on the North.
shall be and the same hereby is annexed to the City of Renton.
SECTION 2: The said annexation shall be.effective on and after
said property
September 26, 1945, and from and after said dat.2/shall be subject to
all the laws and ordinances of the City of Renton, then and thereafter
in force.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five
(5) days from and after its legal publication as provided by law.
