AS FOIL :
Section 1: Definition. .11.11 dogs off the premises of the
owner and running upon the streets, alleys or other tublic places
within the City of Renton, ,rashington, not accompanied by the
owner or some other person having them in charge, shall be hold
to ®e runilinL at large within the meaning of this ordinance. The
person at whose residence or place of abode the dog usually stays
sh&ll b;: de-med th(t owner thereof. The term "in charge" shall be

by the o-wiler ot-some other person in going from one place to another
within the city and obeying his or her order or co=rand.
Section 2: That it shall be unlawful for any dog to -run at
large on any street, alley or public place.
Section 3: That the oriner of any dog or dogs or any person
to whoa custody of the same has been intrusted, who shall permit
the same to run at large contrary to this ordinance, shall be
deemed ;guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall

Section 4: The City Council is hereby au thori zed to employ
a dog catcher whose "uty it shall be to take .p and impound all
dogs ru aing at large contrary to this ordinance and any doh so
taken up shall be held for two days and unless redeemed by payment
of the fee for taking up in the sum of $2.00, it shall be killed
and buried by the doh, catcher. He shall receive a fee of X1.00
for taking up each dog running at large contrary to this ordinance
and4'1.00 for killing �zd burying the same.
Sec' ion 5: all ordinances or ,,arts of ordinances in cort-
flict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 6: T'his ordinance shall be in full force and
effect five days from and after its approval,, passage and legal
publication as provided by law.
