members requested a copy of the application that was used at the funding
workshop.
Staff Contacts: It was noted that there are only 11 working days between when the applications

425-430-6652 Robin summarized the issues he and Elizabeth had discussed with the Community
kbergsvik@rentonwa.gov Services Committee and the members offered their opinions on those issues. The
Human Services Advisory Committee agreed to set aside up to 10%of the funds to
Dianne Utecht support connector services, as was done in the past.
425-430-6655
dutecht@rentonwa.gov The Committee was given two potential rating tool options. One was what the City
of Kent has developed for the new application. The other was last funding cycle's
Carol Allread rating tool. Pros and cons were discussed. The Committee wants objectivity in the
425-430-6650 rating tool, and wants to look at the value of the information given-not just
callread@rentonwa.gov whether or not the information was given. A subcommittee of Charlie, Linda, Rob,
and Nicole was appointed to develop a draft rating tool to bring to the April
meeting.
4. Affordable HousinTour: Karen invited the Committee to go on a tour of affordable housing in Renton. The
Mayor, Council, Planning Commission and agency representatives have been invited. In addition to affordable
housing projects in Renton, the tour may also look at developments that are similar to the Highlands
