The meeting was called to order at 8:1Qam by Chair, Pat Pepper.
The following corrections/revisions to the January minutes were discassed;

Peter advised there is nothing to report at this time regarding the budget.

The following were items received in the mail and made available for the committee for viewing:
• Miscellaneous show performance information, advertisement(s), art walk infarmatian, and ca11
far artists notice{s).
* Kent Arts Commission brochure.
• Flintridge Foundation Awards for Visual Artists cataiogue.
• Four requests for funding letters received ta date. Une each frorn: Valley Cornrn, City of
Renton Carco Theater, Rentan Givic Theater, and Arts Unlimited. Note: deadline is 3/26/07.
OLD BUSINESS
ACTION ITEMS
1. Maintain website information: No updates at this time. Website is current and updated. Peter
received a call from an art student who is a Renton resident and she's taking a class this seasan about
public art which cauld be beneficial in the lang run.
2. 1% art ideas for future park projects: Pat Pepper and Randy Corrnan working together. Interested in
moving forward and working together to possibly get large substantial pieces of art in the future.

4. Henry Moses murat placement: Plaque installed. Awaiting installation of art.
5. YMS —Teen Talent Show: Judging discussed for event to be held February 15, 2007.
6. I% for Art—unnamed park: Mike suggested purchasing a weather vane for the new park. Motion
was rnade voted on and passed fo purchase this item.
'7. Carco Theatre guest artists: The question carne up as to if there are flyers on what the Commission
does. We will check the City Hall files to see if we can find anything. The Call-for-Artists
Application is on the website. The art at Carco gets a lot of faot traffic and great feedback.
$. Grants praposal: VJ just starting to working on this. No further update at this time. 4Culture Grant
deadline is March 26, 2007.

9. Cultural web site: status quo. Will progress soon.
10. Maintenance/repair of artwork: Need to schedule and prioritize items to maintain for 2007. Is there
an expert, possibly within the City, who can do this? Maintenance is a huge deal and a maintenance
schedule will be very good.
11. Sculpture garden: Patricia Riggs and Michael O'Halloran working on this.
12. Welcome to Renton Sign: Add touches to sign for Welcome to City. 200K allocated. Website
under RFP and Daily Journal.
13. Summer Children's Passport for Art: Enclosed with this month's meeting is a copy of the"Gu�DE
TO CITY OWNED ART".
14. Send Advocate for Arts on Lobby Day—February 15th

Meeting scheduled for 3rd week of January to visit site and view where art would be placed.

NEW BUSINESS
1. Membership is full at this time.
2. First Annual Sprint Art Display Event discussed.
3. Letters sent to local Art Organizations to submit funding requests, deadline is March 26, 2007.
4. Further discussion on Dolphin?
5. Tiffany Park Building under construction. Rough ground. Meeting with neighborhood associations.
Kiosk vandalism. Work good and progressing.
6. Bridge railing to be replaced. May replace man cover at same time.
