SUBJECT: � Highlands Sidewalk Project �'.
Dedication Deeds

Transportation Division has an active project to construct several sidewalk segments and construct
wheelchair ramps at intersections. This project has been approved by the City Council.
�
These new sidewalk segments will be constructed entirely within existing right of way.
We discovered that�existing sidewalks encroach on private property at a few locations where the
wheelchair ramps will be replacing existing sidewalks. In order to correct the record we made an �
offer to the property owners to pay a nominal sum as compensation for curing the encroachment in i
return for a dedication rounding the property corner to City Standards.
� ,
Since this project has been approved by the City Council, we feel diat tl�e dedications are not ��� ;
required to be accepted by the City Council in the usual manner. We request that the Mayor sign � �
acceptance of these,dedications and the documents be recorded. j

Please let me know if either you or the Mayor would prefer to request Council concurrence �
accepting these dedication deeds. In that case we will prepare an Agenda Bill. �
