SUBJECT: Highlands Sidewalk Project �
Dedication Deeds ;

Transportation Division has an active project to construct several sidewalk seginents and construct
wheelchair ramps at intersections. This project has been approved by the City Council.

These new sidewalk segments will be constructed entirely within existing right of way. I
i
We discovered that existing sidewalks encroach on private property at a few locations where the I
wheelchair ramps will be replacing existing sidewalks. In order to correct the record we made an �
offer to the property owners to pay a nominal sum as compensation for curing the encroachment in �
return for a dedication rounding the property corner to City Standards. �'
Since this project has been approved by the City Council, we feel that the dedications are not ��
1�� �.
required to be accepted by the City Council in the usual manner. We request that the Mayor sign � �
acceptance of these dedications and the documents be recorded. �
Please let me know if either you or the Mayor would prefer to request Council concurrence �
accepting these dedication deeds. In that case we will prepare an Agenda Bill. �
