RESOLUTIOiV N0. 2314
WHEREAS RCW 35A. 14. 300 authorizes the Le�islative Body
of Municipal Code cities , by majority vote , to annex certain
territory outside its City Limits , whether contiguous or non-
contiguous for municipal purposes , and
WHEREAS it has been duly determined to be in the best
interest and for the pu'�lic benefit to annex certain property
south of Renton recently acquired for use as a fire station
pursuant to the aforestated section, and
WHER.EAS the City Council deems it advisable to provide
for a public hearing on this Resolution to annex said properties
for r.iunicipal purposes , N�W TH�REFORE
THE CITY GOLtidCIL OF THE CITY OF REN1'ON, WASHINGTON, DO
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
SECTIOPJ I : The aforstated findings and recitals are
hereby found to be true and correct in all respects .
SECTION II : The City Council hereby fixes the date of
February 11 , 1980 at �5 : 00 P .M. as the time for a public hearing
upon this Resol.ution to annex and such hearing to be had in the
Council Chambers , City Hall , City of Renton, and notice thereof
to be given by the City Clerk as provided by la�o. The pro�erty
to be so annexed is described as follows :
That portion of Southeast quarter of Section 2� ,
Township 23 North, Ranp;e 5 E .W.M. , described as
follows :
iVorth 100 feet of West 230 feet of South one-half
of South one-half of Northcvest one-quarter of South-
east one-quarter, L�ss West 30 feet for highway,
situated in King County, Washington
SECTIODI III : Any and all persons wishing to be heard
thereon shall submit their comments on or before the aforementioned
hearing date or appear in person thereat and to voice their
approval or objections- thereto .
SECTION IV: The City Clerk is further authorized and
direc�ed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to
the King County Review Board as provided by law.
