Renton, WA 98055 Dear Mr. Stredicke: There presently exists between the City of Renton and the Renton School District, a utility easement at the Renton Vocational-Technical Institute site that measures 60 feet wide. The easement travels between Kirkland and Monroe Avenues. We are in the process of enlarging our existing Horticulture Program to include a potting and storage facility. The proposed location of the structure places it on a portion of the exist- ing easement right-of-way. In most cases the other utility easements granted to the City on school district property measures 10 to 15 feet in width. I could appreciate it if the City of Renton would review the requirement of a 60 foot easement at this particular location. A reduction of 45 to 50 feet in the width of the easement would allow the school district to fully utilize the horticulture site to its fullest extent. Thank you. The letter noted the proposed structure location is on a portion of an existing util- ity easement 60 ft. wide located between Kirkland and Monroe Avenues at the Voc-Tech.
