'"-,,,;,�,Ir�,,,,''''P'urpose. Gran�ee shall have the right to construct, operate, maintain, repair, replace, improve, remove, enlarge and
use one or more electric transmission and�or distribution systems over and/or under the Easement Area, together with all
necessary or convenient appurtenances thereto, which may include but are not limited to the following:
a. Overhead facilities. Poles and/or towers with crossarms, braces, guys and anchors; electric transmission and
distribution lines; fiber optic cable, communication and signal lines; transformers.
b. Underground facilities.Underground conduits,cables,vaults,manholes,switches and transformers;semi-buried or
ground mounted facilities such as pads, transformers and switches; fiber optic cable, communication and signal lines.
Following the initial construction of all or a portion of its systems,Grantee may,from time to time,construct such additional
facilities as it may require for its systems.
2. Access.Grantee shall have the right of access to the Easement Area over and across the Property to enable Grantee to
exercise its rights hereunder. Grantee shall repair or reasonably compensate Grantor for any damage to the Property,including
damage to roads, crops, driveways and fences caused by the exercise of such right of access.
3. Easement Area Clearing and Maintenance. Grantee shall have the right to cut, remove and dispose of any and all
brush, trees and olher vegetation presently existing upon the Easement Area. Grantee shall also have the right to control, on a
continuing basis and by any prudent and reasonable means, the establishment and growth of brush, trees and other vegetation
upon the Easement Area which could,in the opinion of Grantee,interfere with the exercise of Grantee's rights herein or create a
hazard to Grantee's systems.
4. Trees Outside Easement Area.Grantee shall have the right to cut,trim,remove and dispose of any trees located on the
iPropertyo uutside the Easement Area which could, in Grantee's sole judgement, interfere with or create a hazard to Grantee's
systems. Grantee shall,prior to the exercise of such right, identify such trees and make a reasonable effort to give Grantor prior
notice that such trees will be cut,trimmed,removed or disposed of(except that Grantee shall have no obligation to identify such
trees or give Grantor such prior notice when trees are cut,trimmed,removed or otherwise disposed of in resronse to emergenc�•
conditions). Grantor shall be entitled to no compensation for trees cut, trimmed, removed or disposed of except for the actual
market value of inerchantable timber(if any)cut and removed from the Property by Grantee.
5. Grantor's Use o(EasemeM Area.Grantor reserves the right to use the Easement Area for any purpose not inconsistent
with the rights herein granted,provided,that Grantor shall not construct or maintain any building,strucwre or other object on the
Easement Area and Grantor shall do no blasting within 300 feet of Grantee'F systems without Grantee's prior written consent.

6. Indemnity.Grantee agrees to indemnify Granlor from a�;da�a;nstljai,�ifit'y yncurred by Grantor as a result of Grantee's
negligence in the exercise of the rights herein granted to Grantee, b<<E nothir,g!?pre�p R}iall require Grantee to indemnify Grantor
for that portion of any such liability attributable to the negliger.ce o(Grantor r�rthe negligence of others.

7. � Abandonmenf.Th�g rights herein granted shall continue until such time as Grantee ceases to use the E�,sement'Area for�
�a period of five(5)suc�cessive years,in which evenl this easement shall terminate and all rights hereunder shall reveK to Gran'tor, • `
provided,that no abandonment shall be deemed to have occurred by reason of Gramee's failure to initially install its syste�is on
the Easement Area within any period of time from the date hereof.
8. Successors and Assigns.Grantec shall have the right to assign,apportion or otherwise transfer any or all of its rights,e
benefits,privileges and interests arising in and under this easement.Without limiting the generality of the foregoing,the rights and
obligations of the parties shall inure to the benefil of and be binding upon their respective successors and assigns.

Dear Mr. Brooks :
In conjunction with the development of I-405, Puget Power will
need to relocate its existing Shuffleton/0' Brien 115 kv
transmission line , under Work Order No. 9001226 , to a temporary
location along Houser Way South. The im�act of this temporary
location on your nroperty is shown in yellow on tile attached
sketch. The De�artment of Transnortation has told Puget tnat this
temporary move of the line could be for aoproximately 5 y�ars .
When the I-40� project is comnleted Puget will remove its
temporary line and release the temporary easements on your
property. The transmission line will be re-installed in its
original location at that time.
