THIS INDENTURE, made this�ay of _,1998,between The CITY OF �
RENTON, a Washington Municipal Corporation, hereinaft called the Grantor; and the CITY OF
SEATTLE, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called the Grantee;WITNESSETH:
That the Grantor, for and in consideration of the sum of one Dollar($1.00) and other valuable
consideration, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hereby conveys and grants to the Grantee, its
C1��-- successors and assigns, the right, privilege and authority to install, construct, erect, alter, improve,
� repair, energize, operate and maintain an electric transmission system consisting of the necessary
r.,� towers and poles, with braces, guys and anchors, and to place upon or suspend transmission wires,
.� insulators, cross-arms, transformers, fiber optic cables, antennas, and other necessaty or convenient
� appurtenances, across, over,under and upon the following described lands and premises situated in the
� County of King, State of Washington,to wit: '
� That portion of the Henry A.Meader ponation Land Claim No. 46, and the northeast
� quarter of Section 25, Township 23 North, R.ange 4 East, W.M., described as
� follows, lying southerly of the southerly line of the Ciry of Seattle, Bow Lake Pipe
Q� Line Right-of-Way:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the south line of Henry Meader ponation
Claim No. 46, and the east line of Government Lot 10 in the northeast quarter
of Section 25, Township 23 North,Range 4 East,W.M.,King County,
Washington;
thence south along the east line of said Government Lot 10 a distance of 1 S feet;
thence South 87°13'S7"East parallel with the south line of Henry Meader ponation

thence North 87°13'S7"West 58 feet, more or less,to the east line of said
Government Lot 10;
thence south along the east line of said Government Lot 10 a distance of 15 feet to
the point of beginning.
Together with the right at all times to the Grantee, its successors and assigns, of ingress to and
egress from said lands across adjacent lands of the Grantor for the purpose of installing, constructing,
reconstructing, repairing, renewing, altering, changing, patrolling, energizing and operating said
system, and the right at any time to remove all or any part of said towers and poles, wires and
appurtenances from said lands.
. Also the further right to the Grantee, its successors and assigns, at all times to clear said right-
of-way and keep the same clear of brush, other plants, timber and all fire hazards and the right to
remove danger trees, located beyond the limits of said� easement area, which would endanger the
transmission and distribution system, or interfere with the maintenance or operating of said system.
The Grantor, its successors and assigns, hereby covenants and agrees that no structure or fire
hazard will be erected or permitted within the above described easement area without prior written
approval from the Grantee, its successors and assigns; that no digging will be done or permitted within
the easement area which will in any manner disturb the facilities or their solidity or unearth any portion
thereof; and that no blasting or discharge of any explosives will be permitted within three hundred
(300)feet of said lines and appurtenances.
The City of Seattle, its successors, assigns are to be responsible, as provided by law, for any
damages resulting to the Grantor through their negligence in the construction, maintenance and
operation of said transmission system over, across, under and upon the property of said Grantor.
The rights,title, privileges and authority hereby ganted shall continue and be in force until such
time as the Grantee, its successors, assigns, shall permanently remove said towers and poles, wires and
appurtenances from said lands, or shall otherwise permanently abandon said electric systems, at which
rights, title, privile��s ar:d authori:y hereby granted shall termii:ate.

written.
