APPROVED EQUAL 4. PROTECTIVE BARRIER. BEFORE DEVELOPMENT, LAND CLEARING, FILLING OR ANY LAND ALTERATION, THE - 3" THICK LAYER OF MEDIUM CONTRACTOR: BARK MULCH A. SHALL FIELD VERIFY LOCATION, SIZE AND SPECIES TO DETERMINE RPA. B. ATTACHMENTS TO TREES: DURING CONSTRUCTION, NO PERSON SHALL ATTACH ANY OBJECT TO ANY EXISTING TREE. FENCE SHALL BE MAINTAINED THROUGHOUT 6. THE ROOT PROTECTION AREA (RPA) IS DEFINED AS THE AREA WITHIN THE DRIP LINE OF THE TREE TO BE RETAINED, DURATION OF CONSTRUCTION. ALL UNLESS THE TREE IS AN OAK. THE RPA FOR OAK TREES EXTENDS TO ONE AND ONE-HALF TIMES THE RADIUS OF CLEARING AND PLANTING WITHIN THE ROOT THE CANOPY. ZONE SHALL BE DONE BY HAND. 7.
