Dear Sir:
We have prepared form of easement to the City of Renton
for a sewer crossing over the right of way of the
Pacific Coast Railroad at Shattuck Street in Renton.
Please send us as' soon as possible four more blue prints
same as the one which you left in charge of the Superin-
tendent of the Pacific Coast Railroad on April 18th.

The PACIFIC COAST RAILROAD CO1.%PAI Y, a Washington
corporation, hereby gives to the City of Renton, King County,
Washington, upon the terms herein stated, a perpetual easement
across its right of way at the point hereinafter indicated,
for the following purpose :
To install and maintain a twelve inch sewer pipe
across said right of way, parallel with and seventeen (17)
feet easterly from the westerly boundary line of Shattuck
Street produced across said right of way, Shattuck Street
being the westerly city . limits of said city of ,Renton, the
exact location and course of said sewer being shown upon
the blue print attached hereto and made part hereof.
1. Said sewer shall be laid approximately sixteen (16)
feet below the rails of said railroad track, as shown upon said
blue print.
2. The entire cost of installation and of maintenance
shall be borne by the City and all work thereon shall be done
in a manner satisfactory to the General Road Master of the
Company and in such manner as not to interfere with the operation
of trains over said tracks by the Company or by any other person
or Company lawfully using the same.
3. The City assumes all risks due to the installation
or maintenance of said pipes and hereby releases the Company,
its officers, agents and servants , and any and every other
person or corporation lawfully utilizing said right of way,
from all liability for damage to property of the City at any
time placed on the Company' s right of way pursuant to this
permit , and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Company,
its officers , agents and servants , and any and every other
corporation lawfully utilizing said right of way, its officers ,
agents and servants from all loss , damage or liability, in-
cluding the whole cost and expense of litigation in connection
therewith, which may arise out of injuries either to persons or
to property, and by whomsoever asserted, due to the installation
or maintenance of said pipe line.

undersigned, a Notary Public, personally appeared E. C. WARD
and H. ill; WATKINS, to me known to be the President and Secre;
tary, respectively , of '?ACIDIC COAST RAILROgD CO2.'2A=:1-, the
corporation that executed the within and foregoing instrument ,
and acknowledged the said instrument to'be the free and volun-
tary act and deed of said corporation for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned; and each on oath stated that he was author-
ized to execute said instrument and that the seal affixed is
the corporate seal of said corporation.
