In addition to fresh flowers and the bounty of farm fresh produce you expect each week, we will have a Kid's Talent showcase from 3:30 to 4:30, followed by a kid-friendly cooking demonstration with WSU's Food $ense. Then at 5:30 p.m. we welcome Harmonica Pocket, brought to us by KCLS. Meet the Miss Washington contestants; they will be shopping at the market from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. And try your hand at milking a cow! Visit Buttercup, graciously loaned to us by the Dairy Farmers of Washington, who will be visiting at our Kid's Patch for the day. Scheduling announcement: there will be no Renton Farmers Market on Tuesday, July 4th. The mission of Coffee with a Cop is to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve by removing agendas and allowing opportunities to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers in your neighborhood. The next Coffee with a Cop will take place on Wednesday, June 28th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Vince's Coffee, located at 401 Olympia Avenue NE, Suite 102 in Renton. • An informational meeting about the Renton Hill Utilities Improvement Project will be held for the Renton Hill residents in the Renton City Hall Council Chambers on Thursday,June 29th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The purpose of this meeting will be to provide residents with a project update and schedule for the construction of utility improvements on Renton Hill, and to obtain input from the community. River closure signs will be posted on the entrance railing at Ron Regis Park and on a post at Maplewood Roadside Park, and at the latter to alert people who may be planning to drop off a shuttle car for a float ending at that point. Questions may be directed to Brad Stocco at 425-282-2373. ✓ Monday,June 26th through Friday,June 30th, 8:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. Intermittent lane closure on the eastbound outside lane on SE Petrovitsky Road west of 116th Avenue SE as well as sidewalk closures in the same area due to relocation of sidewalk along SE Petrovitsky Road. Northbound and southbound nighttime lane restrictions and closures along SR 167 and I-405 are scheduled this week related to the I-405/SR 167 Interchange Direct Connector Project. Lane closures due to road construction for the 2nd and Main Capital Improvement Project. Questions can be directed to Keith Wooley at 425-430-7318 or Mark Wetherbee at 206-999-1829. ✓ Monday,June 26th through Friday,June 30th approximately 7:00 a.m.to 4:00 p.m. Intermittent southbound lane closures will occur on Oakesdale Avenue SW at Monster Road SW to allow street maintenance crews to repair concrete. Questions may be directed to Street Maintenance Supervisor John Kalmbach at 425-766-6183. ✓ Monday,June 26th, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Utility maintenance crews will be repairing manholes and repaving the affected locations along NE 4th Street between Union Avenue NE and Olympia Avenue NE. Expect intermittent westbound lane closures in this location. Questions may be directed to Utility Maintenance Manager Richard Marshall 425-272-7786. ✓ Wednesday, June 28th approximately 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. Intermittent lane closures at the intersection of SW 7th Street and Lind Avenue SW will be in effect beginning at 6:30 p.m. so the contractor can make adjustments to utility structure covers. South 2nd Street, east of and adjacent to the intersection of Main Avenue South and South 2nd Street, will be closed for a period not to exceed two months. The intersection of NE 10th Street and Harrington Avenue NE will be closed to accommodate construction of the Sunset Neighborhood Park and surrounding area. Complete road closure of Harrington Avenue NE, Sunset Lane NE, and Glennwood Avenue NE for approximately one year to accommodate the Sunset Lane NE Roadway Improvements Project. Expect some intermittent lane closures in the Highlands as a result of the Highlands Sewer Main and Manhole Rehabilitation Project, between NE Sunset Blvd and NE 4th Street, from approximately I- 405 to Monroe Avenue NE. Lining of the sewer mains is expected to be completed by luly 1st; however, rehabilitation of some manholes will continue through August 31st. The City of Kent will be conducting a pavement rehabilitation project along 80th Avenue South between South 194th Street and South 190th Street. This project is near the City of Renton border. Full road closure on Harrington between Sunset Lane NE and Harrington Avenue NE as well as a full road closure on Harrington Avenue NE between NE 10th Street and Sunset Lane NE will be in place as part of the Sunset Lane Capital Improvement Project.
