I will work with you to set up a meeting in September for the Committee and we can invite the new Chamber Board executive committee to attend. In mid-July, Bob Harrison and I met with the former board chair, James Alberson and treasurer Rick McMaster to discuss LTAC funding, the Renton Community Marketing Campaign contribution, and the City’s annual dues to the Chamber. At this meeting we discussed the specific deliverables outlined in the LTAC contract and asked that they be prepared to give a full update to LTAC at its next meeting. They assured us that the visitor’s center would continue to operate as promised. In addition, we agreed that the City would withhold payment on its annual dues until the Chamber adopted a written payment plan to pay their Renton Community Marketing Campaign contribution. This was supposed to be approved by the board at their meeting last Thursday, but I have yet to hear the outcome. Please let me know if you have additional questions. Thank you. -Cliff From: Armondo Pavone <APavone@Rentonwa.gov> Sent: Sunday, August 25, 2019 2:34 PM To: Cliff Long <CLong@Rentonwa.gov>; Chip Vincent <CVincent@Rentonwa.gov> Cc: Julia Medzegian <Jmedzegian@Rentonwa.gov>; Ed Prince <EPrince@Rentonwa.gov> Subject: Re: Finance Committee Follow Up 8/19/2019 Hi Cliff, Last week in the finance committee meeting we asked for clarification on the LTAC funds received by the Chamber. I don’t recall the details but do remember the committee did put stipulations on future funding for the visitors center. I just want to make sure we are honoring their decision. Centurylink - $676.90 206-T32-4645 878B is a circuit ID which was assigned to the City by US West several months before the City occupied the current City Hall building. When the circuit was ordered in early 1998, the 425 area code was not that old. This type of circuit is very different from most phone numbers. It is called an integrated services digital network / primary rate interface (ISDN/PRI). The 206- T32-4645 878B circuit delivers 23 telephone lines of service to the telephone switch system at Renton City Hall. Renton Chamber of Commerce - $8,333.34 These funds are for the contract to operate the visitor’s center. We have only held payment on our annual dues to the Chamber until such time the Chamber puts together a payment plan for the Renton Community Marketing Campaign monies owed to the City for 2018 & 2019. They were supposed to adopt that plan at their board meeting last Thursday morning. Weathernet, LLC - $319.00 This is the monthly subscription to Weathernet, which provides a very precise weather forecast and warnings that are tailored for the Renton City limits. With this precise a forecast we are better able to plan and prepare for storms. Thank you, Kari Kari Roller Financial Services Manager City of Renton (425) 430 6931 kroller@rentonwa.gov
