The Solid Waste Utility will hold its annual fall recycle event on Saturday, September
21 in the Renton Technical College north parking lot located at NE 6th Place and
Monroe Avenue NE from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. During this event, non-perishable food
items will also be collected for the Renton Food Bank. For more information,
including a list of acceptable and unacceptable materials, please visit our website at
www.rentonwa.gov/fallrecycle, or contact the Solid Waste Utility at 425-430-7398.
Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic.
Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road closures will be at
the following locations:
Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00
p.m. Street maintenance crews will be conducting crack sealing work along
Main Avenue South between South Grady Way and South 3rd Street. Expect
intermittent lane closures and slight traffic delays during this time.
Monday, September 16 through Thursday, September 19, 7:00 p.m. to 6:00
a.m. Lane closures within the intersection of Talbot Road South and South 43rd
Street due to construction related to the new Medical Office Building project.

Monday, September 16 through Friday, September 20. Road closure on South
14th Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility
construction. Questions may be directed to Patrick DeCaro at 425-207-6013.

Single lane closures on Talbot Road South in the vicinity of Valley Medical
Hospital related to the construction of the new Medical Office Building, with
trucks entering and existing the hospital. Questions may be directed to Tom

Single lane closures on Talbot Road South in the vicinity of South 45th Street
related to the construction of the new Weatherly Inn project, with trucks
entering and existing the site. Questions may be directed to Tom Main at 206-

Monday, September 16 through Friday, September 20, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Westbound lane closure of South Puget Drive in the 1500 block. Questions may
be directed to Tom Main at 206-999-1833.
Monday, September 16 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Intermittent
single and double lane closures along Logan Avenue North between North 6th
Street and near Garden Avenue North in support of the King County Eastside
Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation project. Questions may be directed to Brad
Stocco at 425-282-2373 or Justin Johnson at 425-430-7291.
Monday, September 16 through Wednesday, January 1, 2020. Full road closure
on Burnett Avenue North at North 6th Street in support of the King County
Eastside Sewer Interceptor Rehabilitation project. Resolution 4378 has been
approved by City Council for the roadway closure of Burnett Avenue North.
