QUITCLAIM DEED
The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, acting by and through the
Administrator of General Services under and pursuant to the powers and authority
contained in applicable provisions of the Federal Property and Administrative
I-- Services Act of 1949, 63 Stat. 377, as amended, and regulations and orders

promulgated thereunder, (hereinafter referred to as "Grantor"), for and in con-

s. sideration of the sum of Ten Dollars and other good and valuable consideration,
does hereby convey and quitclaim to the CITY OF RENTON, a municipal corporation
of the State of Washington, (hereinafter referred to as "Grantee"), its successors
and assigns, a right of way for a public road over the following described property
situated in King County, State of Washington:
A right of way for public road purposes over and across a
portion of the U. S. Bonneville Power Administration Maple
Valley Substation situate in Sections 20 and 21, Township 23
North, Range 5 East, W. M. , King County, Washington, said
tract described as follows:
Beginning at the most easterly corner of said Bonneville Power
Administration Maple Valley Substation, said most easterly
corner being S 34° 54' 30" E, 977. 8 feet from a point which is
S 1° 41' 40" W, 1265. 4 feet from the corner common to Sections
16, 17, 20, and 21, Township 23 North, Range 5 East, Willamette
Meridian; thence North 34° 54' 30" West along the northeasterly
property line of said substation 115. 00 feet; thence South 55° 05'
30" West 98. 50 feet to the point of curvature of a curve to the
left of radius 330. 00 feet; thence southwesterly along said curve,
an arc length of 230. 38 feet to the point of tangency; thence
South 15° 05' 30" West 13. 00 feet to the point of curvature of a

northwesterly from said entrance road centerline and centerline
extended 241. 76 feet to the point of curvature of a curve to the
left of radius 348. 31 feet; said point being opposite Bonneville
Power Administration entrance road station 5 it 93. 77;
Thence southwesterly along said curve, an arc length of 240 feet,
more or less, to a point of intersection with the southwesterly
boundary of said Bonneville Power Administration Maple Valley
Substation; thence S 45° 07' 50" E, 63 feet, more or less to the
most westerly south corner of said substation site; thence N 1°
50' 30" E, 46. 8 feet; thence S 41° 51' 50" E, 72. 3 feet; thence
North 1° 50' 30" East along said boundary 158. 3 feet, more or
less, to an angle point in said boundary; thence North 42° 05' 30"
East along said boundary 823. 0 feet to the Point of Beginning.

Permit for electric power transmission line to Puget Sound

Existing permits and easements and county road known as
McAllister Road.
RESERVING TO the United States of America and its assigns:
The right to span said right of way with electric power
transmission conductors in any manner whatsoever that
will not interfere with or endanger the use of said right of
way for road purposes.
The right, in connection with the maintenance of its adjoining
ownership, to grade, cultivate, and plant grass and shrubs
and to maintain such plantings upon that part of said right of
way not being utilized by the City of Renton or its assigns.
The perpetual and unrestricted right to use the right of way,
or any road constructed thereon, for access, said right to
include the hauling of unlimited loads.
The perpetual right to dispose of drainage on the south side of
the road, and that drainage from the switch-yard which is fed
into the road-crossing culvert.
The perpetual right to maintain the existing grade and turning
radius of the substation access road located within said right
of way.
Grantee hereby covenants and agrees that in the event the right
of way conveyed hereby is no longer used for road purposes the
United States of America will be given the first right to reacquire
said right of way at the current fair market value.
The right of way is over property acquired by the United States of
America by Declaration of Taking, Civil No. 4858 filed July 22, 1959 in the United
States District Court, Western District of Washington, Northern Division, aid by
deed dated June 16, 1960 from Puget Sound Power & Light Company.
The right of way was both duly determined to be surplus to the needs
and requirements of the United States of America and assigned to General Services

Administration for disposal pursuant to authority contained in the said Federal
Property and Administrative Services Act as amended, and applicable orders and
regulations promulgated thereunder.
The Grantee covenants for itself, its heirs, successors, and assigns
and every successor in interest to the property hereby conveyed, or any part

p thereof, that the said Grantee and such heirs, successors, and assigns shall not
C.% discriminate upon the basis of race, color, religion, or national origin in the use,

occupancy, sale, or lease of the property, or in their employment practices
conducted thereon. This covenant shall not apply, however, to the lease or rental
of a room or rooms within a family dwelling unit; nor shall it apply with respect
to religion to premises used primarily for religious purposes. The United States
of America shall be deemed a beneficiary of this covenant without regard to whether
it remains the owner of any land or interest therein in the locality of the property
hereby conveyed and shall have the sole right to enforce this covenant in any court
of competent jurisdiction.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, Grantor has caused this instrument to be
executed as of August 21, 1968.

the laws and statutes of the State of Washington, is desirous of purchasing and acquiring
from the General Services Administration, an agency of the United States Government,
certain properties for street. highway end related purposes, and such acquisition being
for the public benefit and in the public interest, NOW THEREFORE

SECTION Is The City of Renton hereby agrees to purchase from the General
Services Administration, an agency of the United States Government, those certain proper—
ties as more particularly described on the attached Eichibit labeled Exhibit "A" which
is hereby incorporated herein and made a part hereof as if fully set forth, which property
consists of approximately 2,27 acres. more or less, for the total sum of $5,000.00; said
property to be used by the City for street, highway and related purposes and such other
purposes as the City Council may determine from time to times.
Said purchase pries of $5,000.00 shall be paid in cash to the General
Services Administration and the City Engler is hereby designated to act on behalf of
the City of Renton to accept delivery of the appropriate Deed conveying the above-
described properties unto the City of Renton. Said property is being purchased pursuant
to the authority granted to cities of the second class as per RCW 35.23.440 et seq.
