Parking Required:
Renton Municipal Code Section 4-4-080.F10 requires a minimum of 1 parking space per
employee and 0.5 parking spaces per full-time student. CITC doesn’t have any full-time students
since they all work full-time at construction sites and then come to CITC for approximately 3
hours of evening training during the hours of 4pm-9pm. CITC currently has approximately 36
employees (administrative staff and instructors) working at the existing Bellevue facility, but over
the course of the next 5-10 years CITC anticipates increasing their administrative and instructor
staff to approximately 60 to manage their new larger facility in Renton. Per the Renton Municipal
Code parking calculation, 36 parking stalls will be required upon opening the facility in 2021 and
60 stalls will be required within 5-10 years of operation. Since CITC has unique hours of
operation and parking needs, it was suggested during the Pre-App Conference (4/19/18) that a
Traffic Study be performed to accurately assess how many parking stalls would be n eeded by
CITC. This Traffic Study is included in the Land Use Permit Application package and has been
summarized on the following page.
