KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the STATE OF WASHINGTON, for and in consideration of the agreement of the parties entitled GM 976, dated the 29th day of December, 1978, hereby conveys and quitclaims unto the CITY OF RENTON, a municipal corporation of the State of Washington all its right, N title and interest, in and to the following described real property situated Nin King County, State of Washington: Those portions of Government Lot 1, Section 32, Township 24 North, Range 5 East, W.M. , and those portions of Government Lot 5 and of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 29, said Township and Range, lying within the X-Line right of way and the RA-Line right of way of State Highway Route No. 405 and lying within the former right of way of Primary State Highway No. 1, now Lake Washington Blvd. , all as shown hatched on Exhibit "A", being sheet 6 of that certain plan entitled "SR 405, Renton to Kennydale", attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. LSY; r- . . - • i f °�_ 1 *or CAG 043-77 AGREEMENT GM923 THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into the,2A,,j day of ce 1972_, by and between the State of Washington, Washington State Highway Commission, acting by and through the Director of Highways, hereinafter referred to as the "State" and the City of Renton, Renton, Washington, hereinafter referred to as the "City" , WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, the State has improved State Route 405, Jct. SSH 2-M to Jct. PSH-2 in Renton, a limited access highway in the City, and in con- nection with the highway improvement, the State constructed the K-Line within the Corporate Limits of the City as shown on Right of Way Plans - SR 405 , Jct. SSH-2M to Jct. PSH-2 in Renton, sheet 8 of 10 sheets, and WHEREAS, the said street has been constructed in accordance with the Contract Plans, Specifications and Drawings, and, WHEREAS, it is desirable to describe the responsibility of the State and the City in the maintenance of these roadways, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed that: • The City agrees to perform all maintenance, repair or reconstruction of the rearranged City streets, including rights of way, as shown in red on the plans marked "EXHIBIT "A" , sheet 1 of 1 sheet, attached hereto and by this reference made a part of this agreement. II The State shall convey to the City by Deed all the right of way shown in red on the attached Exhibit "A" within six (6) months from notice of intent to transfer jurisdiction to the City. -1- . ,fir III The City agrees to accept these said constructed roadways as here- inbefore described as City streets and further agrees to relieve the State from all responsibility in the operation of this roadway as a public thoroughfare upon completion of construction, in conformance with the plans, specifications and detailed drawings therein. IV It is provided and agreed that no liability shall attach to the State by reason of entering into this agreement except as expressly pro- vided herein. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this agreement on the day and year first above written. PSH-2 in Renton, sheet 8 of 10 sheets, and WHEREAS, the said street has been constructed in accordance with the Contract Plans, Specifications and Drawings, and, WHEREAS, it is desirable to describe the responsibility of the State and the City in the maintenance of these roadways, THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed that: I The City agrees to perform all maintenance, repair or reconstruction of the rearranged City streets, including rights of way, as shown in red on the plans marked "EXHIBIT "A" , sheet 1 of 1 sheet, attached hereto and by this reference made a part of this agreement. II The State shall convey to the City by Deed all the right of way shown in red on the attached Exhibit "A" within six (6) months from notice of intent to transfer jurisdiction to the City. -1- III The City agrees to accept these said constructed roadways as here- inbefore described as City streets and further agrees to relieve the State from all responsibility in the operation of this roadway as a public thoroughfare upon completion of construction, in conformance with the plans, specifications and detailed drawings therein. IV It is provided and agreed that no liability shall attach to the State by reason of entering into this agreement except as expressly pro- vided herein.
