PILING - GENERAL
1. STEEL PIPE PILING AND SHEET PILING SHALL CONFORM TO ASTM 572 GRADE 50 WITH MIN YIELD
STRENGTH = 50 KSI.
2. STEEL PIPE PILING AND SHEET PILING SHALL BE PAINTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH WSDOT
SPECIFICATIONS SECTION 6-07 EXCEPT:
THE PAINTED SECTION NEED NOT EXTEND MORE THAN 10 FEET INTO GRADE
COATING SHALL BE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS:

PILING - DRIVING
1. PILING SHALL BE DRIVEN TO THE TIP ELEVATIONS INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS.
2. DETAILED PILE DRIVING LOGS SHALL BE KEPT BY THE CONTRACTOR AND PROVIDED TO THE ENGINEER OR OWNER.
3. ANY PILE DAMAGED IN THE DRIVING, IMPROPERLY DRIVEN, OR DRIVEN AT THE WRONG LOCATION SHALL BE REMOVED BY THE
CONTRACTOR AND ANOTHER PILE SHALL BE DRIVEN IN THIS PLACE AT THE CONTRACTORS EXPENSE.
