City's approval should be indicated by signature but not
acknowledged. Also, a check for the $8. 00 recording fee is

Dear Leslie:
I have reviewed the above-referenced document and the same is
approved as to legal form. The mayor should probably sign the
Quit Claim Deed, although the parks director or city attorney
probably would be acceptable . If other than the mayor signs the
document we should contact the state to ascertain if the signature
is acceptable.

FROM: Leslie Betlach, Open Space Coordinato.i .'
SUBJECT: Replacement Parcel on SR169 Quit Claim Deed
DATE: February 1, 1991
About a year ago, D.O.T. approached the City about acquiring
a parcel of land owned by the Park Department necessary for
the I-405 reconstruction. The parcel located along the
Cedar River was partially acquired with I.A.C. Funding and
therefore could not be sold, but rather replaced with
another parcel of equal value. A parcel along SR169 and to
be incorporated into Cedar River Trail Vista's Park was
selected and agreeable to all parties (including the IAC) .
Transfer of title is finally near and I have enclosed a
cover letter and copy of the Quit Claim Deed for your review
and approval as to legal form. In addition, we are unsure
who's signature is required on this document and would you
please advise? Should you require additional information,
please call me at 277-5549 .
Thank you.
