To Whom It May Concern,
Our pre-application request is to bring new homes into our mobile home park, Renton Highland Manor.
Specifically, it is to replace two existing homes (Lots 41 and 43) as well as to bring in a home to a
currently vacant lot (Lot 23).
While many of the details are in the attached document, below is a brief overview of our goal:
Currently, Renton Highland Manor is comprised of many outdated and non HUD compliant single wide
manufactured homes. For a variety of reasons (energy saving, aesthetic value, safety oriented), we
would like to start exchanging these homes for new ones. We have attached all the materials we believe
are necessary to have an effective pre-application meeting, and look forward to starting this long
overdue transition.
Sincerely,
Daniel Weisfield (650)-743-0637 Daniel@threepillarcommunities.com

Renton Highland Manor:
Current Home Situation
CURRENT SITUATION
In-place housing stock at Renton Highland Manor
consists of 1960s and 1970s single-wide mobile
homes. They provide shelter, but…
+ Do not comply with Federal National
Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety
Standards Act of 1974 (the “HUD code”)
+ Have all sorts of unpermitted additions
+ Leak heat like a sieve, and have water-wasting
plumbing fixtures

Proposed solution
Solution: Replace obsolete housing stock with
contemporary manufactured homes
•Improve safety and reduce fire risk
•Reduce energy and water waste
•Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
•Reduce utility bills for working families
•Upgrade neighborhood aesthetics
•As responsible landlords, we are installing an attractive park entrance wall, planting trees, upgrading landscaping, and repaving the roads
•We want to be a neighborhood asset and a good neighbor, not an “eyesore trailer park”
•If residents are stuck with obsolete 1960s homes, we’re trapped. Common area upgrades will only go so far. The homes define the community.
•Provide affordable homeownership opportunities to working families in Renton with zero government subsidy (!)
