Vault Excavation Rep observed contractor grading the vault excavation to design elevation with a large excavator. Rep observed the south slope to be near vertical, the east and north slope to be 1:1 (H:V) to a near 7' vertical toe, and the west slope to be (H:V) to a near 3' vertical toe. Although over -steepened, slopes are stable in current configuration and stable to work within. The contractor is responsible for providing all safety measures in accordance with state and federal regulation. ESNW rep will return to observe earthwork activities when requested by client.
