In attendance were Board members Kathy Keolker-Wheeler, Don Persson, William Henry, Ray Barilleaux and Bonnie Walton; and Jill Masunaga, Finance Department Representative. MINUTES APPROVAL MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY HENRY, THE PENSION BOARD APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE FEBRUARY 17, 2005, MEETING. CARRIED. MONTHLY STATEMENT The financial report as of February 28, 2005, was reviewed. Total cash/investment balance was $4,906,728.48. MONTHLY BILLS AND PENSION PAYMENTS MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY HENRY, THE BOARD APPROVE THE PENSION/MEDICAL PAYMENTS FOR MARCH 2005, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $35,359.76. CARRIED. The statute also provides that the secretary of the firemen's pension board for each city, town or district shall certify to the state treasurer's office the number of paid firemen in their departments on or before the fifteenth day of January. The certification should show the number of paid firemen employed by your department as of December 31,2004. As of this date, we have not received your certification. In order for your city to participate in the May 2005 fire insurance premium distribution, we must have your certification by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24th. Lee `h-;' - �. - Chief SUBJECT: JacfCo umbi On April 4, 2005, retired Renton Fire Department Captain Jack Colombi passed away after a long illness. Jack was a lifelong Renton resident, and started his fire service career in Renton on September 8, 1958, as a firefighter. He was promoted to lieutenant in June of 1965 and promoted to captain on January 1, 1970. Captain Colombi retired on November 20, 1982, because of disability. He is survived by his wife Delaine, and sons, Jack Jr., Garry and Ronny.
