The regular meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board was called to order by Acting Chairman
Randy Corman at 3:48 p.m. in the Mayor's conference room, 7th floor of Renton City Hall. In
attendance were Board members Randy Corman, Bill Henry, Ray Barilleaux and Bonnie Walton;
and Jill Masunaga, Finance Department Representative.
MINUTES APPROVAL
MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY HENRY, THE PENSION BOARD APPROVE
THE MINUTES OF THE MAY 20, 2004, MEETING. CARRIED.
CORRESPONDENCE
Correspondence was entered from the State Office of the Treasurer stating that, in accordance
with RCW 41.16.050 which provides that 25% of moneys received from the tax on fire insurance
premiums be distributed to cities for the credit of local pension funds, $70,249.69 will be
distributed to Renton on May 28, 2004.
MONTHLY STATEMENT
The financial report as of May 31, 2004, was reviewed. Total cash/investment balance was
$5,050,930.03.
MONTHLY BILLS AND PENSION PAYMENTS
MOVED BY HENRY, SECONDED BY BARILLEAUX, THE BOARD APPROVE THE
PENSION/MEDICAL PAYMENTS FOR JUNE 2004, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$32,013.40. CARRIED.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY HENRY, THE BOARD APPROVE THE
CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT FORM AS APPROVED BY THE CITY ATTORNEY
WITH ELIMINATION OF PARAGRAPH TWO, AND HAVE BOARD MEMBERS SIGN
THE FORM AT THE NEXT MEETING. CARRIED.
NEW BUSINESS
A memo was entered from the Board Secretary recommending that the Board adopt a 1.5%
increase for widows of firemen prior to the LEOFF Act (1970) in accordance with the CPI for the
previous calendar year for the Seattle area. MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY
HENRY,THE BOARD ADOPT THE 1.5% INCREASE EF'F'ECTIVE JULY 1, 2004.

acquire, whether in oral, written or electronic form and regardless of the manner in which
access was obtained.
