ADJOURNMENT *fte 'law MINUTES FIREMEN'S PENSION BOARD CITY OF RENTON September 21, 2006 Kathy Keolker, Mayor Don Persson, Council Finance Committee Chair Bonnie Walton, City Clerk Ray Barilleaux, Fire Department Representative Bruce Phillips, Fire Department Representative William Larson, Fire Department Alternate The regular meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board was called to order by Chairman Kathy Keolker at 1:35 p.m. in the Mayor's conference room, 7th floor of Renton City Hall. In attendance were Board members Kathy Keolker, Ray Barilleaux and Bruce Phillips. Also in attendance were Finance Department representative, Jill Masunaga, and Jason Seth, Recorder. MINUTES APPROVAL MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY PHILLIPS, THE PENSION BOARD APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE AUGUST 17, 2006, MEETING. CARRIED. MONTHLY STATEMENT The financial report as of August 31, 2006, was reviewed. Total cash/investment balance was $4,612,771.30 MONTHLY BILLS AND PENSION PAYMENTS MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY PHILLIPS, THE BOARD APPROVE THE PENSION/MEDICAL PAYMENTS FOR SEPTEMBER 2006, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $34,560.60 TO BE PAID FROM THE FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND. CARRIED. UNFINISHED BUSINESS A list of Firemen's Pension Fund investments as of 8/31/2006 was reviewed. Investments totaled a book cost of$4,424,800.83, primarily in US Treasury Strips with Dean Witter Reynolds, yielding an average interest rate of approximately 6.09% and having incremental maturity dates from November 2006 through August 2025.
