GENERAL NOTES:
1. PROVIDE NON-SKID COVERS FOR LIDS WITH LOCKING BOLTS AND MARK WITH 'ITS' USING 3" HIGH LETTERING. THE
LABEL SHALL BE STAMPED OR WELDED ON THE COVER.
2. ALL CONDUITS ARE TO BE MANDREL -PROOFED PER WSDOT SPECIFICATIONS.
3. UTILITY VAULT SHALL MEET ASTM C 478 WITH TWENTY-EIGHT (28) DAY 550OPSI MINIMUM COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH
CONCRETE.
4. VAULT COVER SHALL HAVE A SLIDE -LOCK DEVICE AND GROUND STRAP.
5. VAULTS SHALL BE SUPPLIED WITH HARDWARE MOUNTING RACK FOR CABLE STORAGE AND MOUNTING OF THE SPLICE
CASE.
6. VAULTS SHALL BE CONFIGURED SUCH THAT THE TENSILE AND BENDING LIMITATIONS OF THE FIBER OPTIC CABLE
ARE NOT COMPROMISED. VAULTS SHALL BE CONFIGURED TO MECHANICALLY PROTECT THE FIBER OPTIC CABLE
AGAINST INSTALLATION FORCE AS WELL AS INERT FORCES AFTER CABLE PULLING OPERATIONS.
