SEE DWG MD3 FOR APPROXIMATE CURB RAMP AND FLARE LENGTHS. 2. A MAXIMUM CROSS -SLOPE OF 2.0% IS ALLOWED ON SIDEWALKS AND RAMPS; AND A MAXIMUM RUNNING SLOPE OF 8.3% FOR RAMPS. TO ENSURE THAT ALL MAXIMUM ALLOWED SLOPES ARE MET, THESE DETAILS SHOW 1.5% FOR MAXIMUM CROSS -SLOPES AND 8.0% FOR MAXIMUM RAMP RUNNING SLOPES. LENGTHS MAY BE ADJUSTED TO ACHIEVE REQUIRED SLOPES AND TO ACCOMMODATE EXISTING SITE CONDITIONS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER OF ANY CURB RAMP THAT CANNOT BE CONSTRUCTED TO FULL COMPLIANCE PRIOR TO PLACING CONCRETE. ANY WORK THAT IS COMPLETE THAT IS NON -COMPLIANT SHALL BE REMOVED AND REPLACED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. 3. MINIMUM RAMP LENGTH FOR TYPE PERPENDICULAR RAMPS SHALL BE 6 FEET, WITH A RAMP RUNNING SLOPE NOT TO EXCEED 8.0%. RAMP MAY BE LENGTHENED TO ACHIEVE 8.0% OR LESS SLOPE TO A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF 10 FEET. THE LENGTH OF THE RAMP MUST ALLOW FOR A 4 FOOT LANDING BEHIND THE RAMP. 4. THE REQUIRED CROSS SLOPE FOR TYPE PERPENDICULAR A RAMPS AND ALL LANDINGS IS 1.5% MAXIMUM. 5. MINIMUM FLARE LENGTH SHALL BE 6 FEET WITH A MAXIMUM SLOPE OF 10.0%. 6. CURB RAMP, LANDING, AND FLARES SHALL RECEIVE BROOM FINISH. SEE WSDOT STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS 8-14. 7. SEE DWG MD3 FOR BACK OF WALK LIMITS. 8. ALL OBJECTS AND OBSTRUCTIONS SHALL BE KEPT OUT OF THE PEDESTRIAN ACCESS ROUTE, JUNCTION BOXES INCLUDED, UNLESS APPROVED BY THE ENGINEER. 9.
