BackgroundHistory – Documents •Corrected Plat of Renton No. 2, noted as a “public use areas”, recorded in 1956.•The one parcel was divided in 2016/2017 via a short plat. •Created two lots; The former Renton Highlands Library Site which was subsequently sold to Renton Housing Authority.•The subject parcel was retained in City ownership.

Staff Recommendation •The City Council Formally Designated the parcel’s “public use area” as a public alley. •This would allow the City to improve the full length of the parcel to meet City alley standards; •Memorialize the access for the abutting parcels that currently utilize the parcel for vehicle access; and •Allow future developments abutting the parcel to be alley accessed.
