Members of the City Council
Gentlemen and Mrs. Dahlquist:
Presented to the City Council for Public Hearing is the Revised
Six Year Street Program. As stated i n Chapter S3, Er.'raordi pare
Session Laws of 1967, the legislative body of each City and town
shall prepare and adopt a comprehensive street program for the en-
suing six years and annually thereafter, the legislative body of
each City shall review the work accomplished under the program and
determine current City street needs.
The purpose of the annual revision is to assure that perpetually,
each city shall have available, advance plans looking to the future
for not less than six years.
As a guide in carrying out a coordinated street construction
program, the six year street program, hereby presented, includes
all proposed street construction and improvements. No attempt is
made to establish priority or source of funds under this program.
One of the major reasons for revising the City's Six Year Street Pro
gram at this time is to include the street name changes previously
adopted by the City Council . Major difference in the revised program
is the proposed Logan -- Smithers Improvement; North 3rd Street im-
provement, and the proposed Interchange at Logan Avenue North and
Airport Way.
Amendments to the Secondary Arterials include improvements to
North 6th Street, Houser Way North, Talbot Road, 132nd Avenue S.E. ,
Wells Avenue South, Wells Avenue Horth, Williams Avenue South, and
Williams Avenue North,
