Good morning Cailin-
We’ve reviewed the revisions. The only change we request is to undo the deletion of “landslide hazards
and risks” and insertion of “environmental conditions.” Our scope includes no environmental sampling
or testing. Describing our scope as “evaluate existing environmental conditions…” would be
misleading. We respectfully request that this edit be reverted back to original text.
We intend to notify Bryce Goldmann today to confirm our Monday start date.
Please let us know as soon as possible whether this change would be acceptable, and contact us if you
have questions.

Cailin,
Here’s a draft of the scope of work and Right of Entry permit. King County’s prosecuting office is taking
a look at the language and will have a couple of edits.
Thanks,

Hi Cailin,
I'm following up on the voicemail from earlier today. For the work occurring as part of this project, we
will require Trail access for at least two days, possibly four if subsurface conditions are highly
variable. The permit application appears that we fill out the highlighted sections and return it to
you/City of Renton for review and approval. Is this correct, or should we provide a scope of work and
schedule, and the City creates the permit. What is the turn-around time for permit approval? The work
is tentatively scheduled for December 9th.
Thanks,
Ben Warren

Thanks Brian,
The City of Renton has provided the attached right of entry permit for the drilling work on the trail.
The permit will detail the proposed work (including any future phasing, which at this point is relatively
unknown), equipment, number of workers, working location, closure information, access location, etc.
An exhibit of the work location(s) is recommended. Once the permit is filled out, please forward to Cailin
Hunsaker (cc'd), Parks & Trail Director at the City of Renton; she will coordinate with her field team to
determine any restrictions or further requirements. This would include what will be necessary for the
closure of the trail and facilitating access. Cailin and I will determine how best to coordinate with KC
Parks as Cedar River trail users will be impacted during the drilling.
Also, the City identified another point of access at the Maplewood Roadside Park that may work better
as an alternative to the Dog Park.
Please let me know if you need anything else at this time.
Thanks,
Monica

Hi Monica,
Tyler will continue to lead our efforts on this task as Project Manager. Ben Warren, who you met on
CRT2, will be technical lead. I will provide input/review to the team.
Tyler and Ben have already reached out to drillers. We are on their schedule for December 9th (Sound
Transit and WSDOT projects are keeping drillers in the region busy).
Let Tyler and Ben know what days/times work for you and your team for the Kick-off meeting. We are
excited to get going on this project as well!
