As requested, ESNW representative was onsite to meet with King County officials and observe construction of the
proposed Lock + Load wall along the southern extent of the site. While onsite, ESNW representative observed the
following:
Onsite Meeting:
Upon arrival, ESNW representative was onsite for a King County Sewer Discharge preoperative inspection. While
onsite, a client representative, ESNW representative, and King County inspector, Ryan Salem, reviewed all aspects
of the discharge system, appropriate permits and any additional information needed. Upon completion of the
inspection, ESNW representative will send documentation of IMHOFF cone, pH Meter and calibration log.
Lock + Load Observation:
Upon arrival, ESNW representative walked the upper portion and lower portion of the over -steepened cut to look
for any indication of movement of instability. At the time of visit, ESNW representative observed the excavation to
be stable in its current condition and configuration. It is the responsibility of the contractor to perform and implement
all necessary safety measures in accordance with state and federal regulations. Furthermore, ESNW
representative spoke with the retaining wall contractor and was informed that they would not be ready for any
compaction testing today.
Finally, ESNW representative spoke with the grading contractor regarding erosion control measures that could be
implemented to improve the condition of the construction entrance. ESNW representative will provide
recommendations, as needed.!_;+. ry ;

perform and implement all necessary safety measures in

Furthermore, ESNW representative spoke with the.r°```
retaining wall contractor and was informed that they would may be ready for compaction testing later today.
Additionally, ESNW representative spoke with the grading contractor regarding erosion control measures that were
implemented to improve the condition of the construction entrance. ESNW representative recommended installing
an interceptor trench at the site entrance to catch any surface water that may leave the site; excavating a temporary
pond to contain any of the diverted water; and creating a wheel -wash station at the site entrance for vehicles exiting
the site.
Upon return, ESNW representative observed that the retaining wall contractor had placed a 4" corrugated pipe
behind the Lock + Load wall. Further, ESNW representative observed that the retaining wall contractor was placing
clean crushed rock behind the face of the wall for approximately two feet and backfilling with the imported recycled
material. ESNW representative observed the retainingf"` .
wall contractor compacting the backfill material with a
combination of a large vibratory plate compactor and small
double -drum vibratory roller. Using a '/2" steel T -probe,
ESNW representative observed little to no penetration
indicating dense conditions suitable for support of the 1;' -.::: .
proposed retaining wall. ESNW representative spoke with
the retaining wall contractor and was informed that they
would be ready for compaction testing in the morning.„
