SUBJECT: Southport Park Avenue Extension
The following is an overview of the decisions and agreements that have been made between all involved
parties as a part of the Southport Park Ave Extension project. These items discussed below shall be taken
into consideration by the City reviewers during the design review process.
Project Overview
The Park Ave Extension project consists of the design of a private interim roadway through the Southport
Site, in the City of Renton, Washington. The purpose of the interim roadway is to provide connection
between the existing Southport site, Park Ave N and N Southport Drive during the construction on this
property. Upon completion of construction, a permanent Park Ave roadway will be in place. The City of
Renton is concurrently designing the extension of the public section of Park Ave N.
Decisions and Agreements
o Per discussion with the City of Renton, it was decided that a crosswalk crossing the private portion of
Park Ave would not be necessary. The city has agreed to include signage at the intersection of Park Ave
N and N Southport Drive, indicating that pedestrians shall cross over to the west side of Park Ave N at
this location.
o Currently Seco Development is working to obtain the land necessary for the Southport development.
Right-of-way and easement decisions between Seco, Puget Sound Energy (PSE), and the City of Renton
are still being discussed at the time of this memorandum. For more information on the status of these
agreements, please contact Rocale Timmons at 425-282-5456.
