Meeting Minutes — November 26, 2019

1. Call To Order:
Chair Brent Beden called the meeting to order at 4:22 p.m.
2. Approval Of Minutes:
There was one correction in the minutes, changing Kathleen Lagow to Camilia Lagow in the Approval of the
Minutes section. Moved by Jim Matthew and Seconded by Camilia Lagow to approve the October 22, 2019
meeting minutes with the correction. Carried.

A. Lateral Police Eligibility List* and Examination Report**

S. Other Business/Comments
A. Chief Examiner Sandler provided recommended new language to Civil Service rule 3.01 and
3.02 which allows rotating of the Chair and Vice Chair positions on an annual basis with the
Vice -Chair moving into the Chair position. Commissioner Beden recommended changing the 6
month Commission service requirement to 12 months. Discussion ensued. The Commissioners
were in favor of lengthening the time of service to eligible to 12 months but wanted to take in-
to consideration that most new Commissioners begin their service in January. In order to take
that into consideration, it was suggested to change the language so it reads "12 months experi-
ence at the time of appointment." Kathleen Booher moved to accept the changes to Civil Ser-
vice Rule 3.01 and 3.02 upon approval of the City Attorney. Jim Matthew seconded the motion.
Carried.
B. Next Regular meeting is December 17, 2019**
