EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT
M E M O R A N D U M
DATE: January 27, 2020
TO: Ruth Pérez, Council President
Members of Renton City Council
FROM: Armondo Pavone, Mayor
Robert Harrison, Chief Administrative Officer
SUBJECT: Administrative Report
With more cold weather on the way, the Public Works Department will be out
applying deicer to major arterials. Also, snow is not far away. It is imperative that
motorists do not park or abandon their vehicles within any portion of the traffic
lanes. Abandoned vehicles impair snow and ice removal, impact response of
emergency vehicles, and may be towed. Please remember that during snow and ice
events, the department sanders and snow plows are dispatched to keep major
arterials drivable. Visit our website at www.rentonwa.gov/snowroutes to view our
deicing and snow route maps.
Coffee with a Cop is back! Join us for the first Coffee with a Cop of the year at the
Renton Senior Activity Center on Wednesday, January 29 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Those
age 50+ are welcome to visit the coffee bar to chat with Renton Police officers and
learn something new.
