The Renton History Museum is hosting a virtual tour of Renton’s black history sites
on February 6 from 6 to 7 p.m. Join Renton residents John Houston and Benita Horn
as they share the history of the city’s African‐American residents, their lives, and
their contributions to Renton’s history. $5 for adults, $2 for kids. Museum members
are free.
Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic. All
projects are weather permitting and unless otherwise noted, streets will always
remain open. Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road
closures will be at the following locations:
Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 7. Road closure on South 14th
Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility
construction. Questions may be directed to Justin Johnson at 425‐902‐7102.
Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 7. Single intermittent lane
closures in both directions on Talbot Road South in the vicinity of Valley Medical
Hospital related to the construction of the new medical office building.

Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 7, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Wastewater Maintenance crews will be conducting preventative maintenance
on sewer lines along Lake Washington Blvd. Expect traffic delays along Lake
Washington Blvd. between North 41st Street and North 20th Street. Flaggers will
be on‐site to maintain traffic flow.
Monday, February 3 through Friday, February 7, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A
temporary traffic signal will be replaced with a permanent structure at NE 3rd
Street and Jefferson Avenue NE. Expect intermittent curb lane closures and
traffic delays in this vicinity.
