The Surface Water Utility is accepting public comment on the draft 2020 Stormwater
Management Program Plan. The plan and instructions for submitting comments are
available at www.rentonwa.gov/npdes.
SKY Urban Empowerment and Transformation Center will celebrate Black History
Month by presenting “2020 Celebrating Black Excellence – Realizing the Dream” on
Wednesday, February 26 at 6 p.m. The center is located at 301 South 3rd Avenue in
Renton.
The Renton Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2020 PNW Economic Equity
Summit on Friday, February 28 from 7 – 11 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Lake
Washington. The event brings together regional business leaders and invites the
community to find resolutions to the challenges in our region– specifically the
economic inequity in the Pacific Northwest. The city will also have a 2020 Census
information table outside the event.
Information about preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and
road closures happening this week can be found at http://rentonwa.gov/traffic. All
projects are weather permitting and unless otherwise noted, streets will always
remain open. Preventative street maintenance, traffic impact projects, and road
closures will be at the following locations:
Monday, February 24 through Friday, February 28. Road closure on South 14th
Street between Smithers Avenue South and Davis Avenue South for utility

Monday, February 24 through Friday, February 28. Single intermittent lane
closures in both directions on Talbot Road South in the vicinity of Valley Medical
Hospital related to the construction of the new medical office building.

Single intermittent lane closures in both direction on NE 3rd Street just west of
Edmonds Avenue NE due to utility construction. Questions may be directed to

Monday, February 24 through Friday, February 28. Flatiron/Lane Joint Venture,
the contractor for the I‐405 Renton to Bellevue Widening and Express Toll Lanes
Project will be conducting the following overnight on‐ramp closures:
Monday, February 24, Tuesday, February 25, and Thursday, February 27:
The right northbound lane and shoulder of I‐405 between NE 30th Street and
NE 44th Street will be closed at 9 p.m., reopening the following morning by
4:30 a.m.
Friday, February 28: The right northbound lane and shoulder of I‐405
between NE 30th Street and NE 44th Street will be closed at 10 p.m.,
reopening Saturday morning, February 29 by 7 a.m.
Thursday, February 27: NE 44th Street to southbound I‐405 from 9 p.m. to 5
a.m. The on‐ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning. A signed
detour will be in place.
Friday, February 28: NE 44th Street to southbound I‐405 from 9 p.m. to 7:30
a.m. The on‐ramp will reopen by 7:30 a.m. the following morning. A signed
detour will be in place.
