Supplementary Report:
At the client's request, ESNW rep was onsite to observe or test cut slopes, sewer line backfill, test pH of
stormwater, lock and load backfill and earthwork activities.
Cut Slopes
While onsite, rep observed south slopes of the cut slopes to be near vertical and covered in plastic sheeting. Rep
observed that the east slopes of the excavation were near a 0.75:1 (H:V) slope. Although over -steepened, slopes
are stable in current configuration and stable to work within. The contractor is responsible for providing all safety
measures in accordance with state and federal regulation. Rep observed that contractor had sloped the southeast
corner of the footing excavation to a 1:1 (H:V).
Sewer Line Backfill
Rep observed contractor use a medium sized excavator to excavate and install the sewer line. Rep observed
contractor install a 8" PVC pipe at the toe of the excavation (W3'xD5') embedded in a 12" lift pea gravel. Contractor
expressed plans to continue working on sewer line backfill tomorrow, February 25, 2020.
Test pH of Stormwater
Rep took pH tests to determine the pH of stormwater. In the filled baker tanks rep observed 16.4 NTU in a baker
tank. Rep observed that contractor added dry ice to lower the pH level. Rep observed that pH level was contained
onsite at 6.5 pH.
Lock and Load Wall Backfill
Rep observed contractor use a medium sized excavator to place and backfill the lock and load blocks. Rep
observed contactor place geo-grid as per design. Rep will return to take compaction test tomorrow, February 25,
2020.
ESNW rep will return to observe earthwork activities when requested by client

Lock and Load Wall Backfill
Rep observed wall that lock and load wall contractor had completed the wall located between the cast -in -place
wall and the previously constructed lock and load wall. Rep observed contractor grade and place import gray 1/2"
minus crushed recycled concrete in loose—6"--12" lifts. Rep observed contractor place geo-grid as per plan (5XT).
Once lifts were placed, rep observed contractor use a medium sized plate compactor for compaction. Rep took
compaction tests on fill and observed material to be adequate of at least 95% of its maximum dry density (118.4
lbs./cu. ft.). Rep is including compaction tests from previous visits.
Test pH of Stormwater
Rep took pH tests to determine the pH of stormwater. In the filled baker tanks rep observe
of 6.5. Rep observed that pH level was contained onsite at 6.5 pH.
