Subject: Temporary Use Permit (TUP) Extension Granted
Verizon Industrial Cell-On-Wheels, LUA17-000868, TP
Dear Mr. Cardoza:
On February 12, 2020, this office received your request to extend an approved Temporary Use Permit (File No.
LUA17-000868, TP). The initial decision for the Verizon Industrial Cell-on-Wheels TUP was issued on March 21,
2018 and expired on March 21, 2019. A one-year extension was requested due to difficulties locating a
permanent site. The extension was issued on April 2, 2019 and expired on March 21, 2020. You have requested
an additional extension in order to maintain adequate cellular coverage in the area while the permitting of a
permanent facility is underway.
Following review, the TUP expiration date has been extended 180 days until September 17, 2020 subject to
three condition of approval as follows:
1. The site occupied by the temporary use shall be restored to the original condition when the use ceases
to exist including restoration of site elements such as, but not limited to, landscaping vegetation and
parking stall striping.
2. A 10-inch gate valve shall be installed on the existing water main prior to the installation of any
equipment associated with the cell-on-wheels. The applicant shall be responsible for all expenses related
to the valve installation. The location and specifications of the valve shall be reviewed and approved by
the Development Engineering Manager. (Condition met, but shall be maintained)
3. The applicant shall enter into a Hold Harmless Agreement with the City prior to the installation of any
equipment associated with the cell-on-wheels. (Condition met, but shall be maintained)
Please contact Alex Morganroth at (425) 430-7219 if you have any questions.
