NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE AND PUBLIC HEARING
RENTON, WASHINGTON
The Environmental Review Committee has issued a Determination of Non-Significance
(DNS) for the following project under the authority of the Renton municipal code.
4242 East Valley Rd Rezone
LUA16-000734
Location: 4242 East Valley Rd. Requested rezone for the property located at 4242
East Valley Road (APN 3123059114). The rezone is requested to allow retail uses
within the existing two-story commercial building. The site is currently zoned
Commercial Office (CO). The applicant has requested a rezone to Commercial
Arterial (CA). Staff proposes denial of the rezone unless other parcels within the
block and parcels located within the adjacent block to the west along SW 43rd Street
are also rezoned from CO to CA.
Appeals of the DNS must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on November 04,
2016. Appeals must be filed in writing together with the required fee with: Hearing
Examiner c/o City Clerk, City of Renton, 1055 S Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057. Appeals
to the Hearing Examiner are governed by RMC 4-8-110 and more information may be
obtained from the Renton City Clerk's Office, 425-430-6510.
A Public Hearing will be held by the Hearing Examiner in the Council Chambers, City
Hall, on November 15, 2016 at 11:00 am to consider the submitted application. If the
DNS is appealed, the appeal will be heard as part of this public hearing. Interested
parties are invited to attend the public hearing.
