Hi Ed,
Thanks on clarifications, wasn't sure on R&R given that I had notes from the walk stating we were reusing the
existing fixtures; is that still correct?
The associated costs for replacing the mounting brackets for 12 units (9 toilets and 3 urinals) would be the original
base bid quoted plus labor of $625 ea. (as noted in Alt. #2) and an average of $250 ea for materials (new brackets
and fasteners) or $10,500 plus the original $35,966=$46,466 plus tax. This total will now include the
previous additive alt #2. Should the City wish to not do this work upon further review, or in the review of the water
issues, Deductive alternate #1 for all 12 units would be $10,500 less any restocking or associated handling costs.
Alt. =Alternate associated with additive or deductive option/alternates. Understood from the 2 small works bid
projects the owner was requesting voluntary alternates as were appropriate to the scope of work!
If we are in the running for this work, I'd like to confirm the March timeline, and greatly appreciate your soonest
feedback!
Sincerely,
Keith Bjella

Keith,
After reviewing your Quote; I noticed that removal of fixtures was not included in price.
The project consists of replacing all items in the plumbing chase which includes the carriers for
both the urinals and toilets; so I’m asking how are you able to do that without removing the
toilets/urinals from the walls. Please resubmit an updated quote with them being removed.
Also does the Alt mean add in your quote?
ATTACHMENT A
Please calculate the total for all 12 fixtures as Add 2 not individual pricing.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to email or call.

Subject: Re: Small Works Project Request Gene Coulon Cahseway Repairs
Hi Edward,
Regarding the chase way plumbing repairs at the Gene Coulon Park. After review of the site
and as builts, we offer the following proposal:
Accord will remove and replace all chaseway piping and accessories including flush valves
from wall (backside of fixture) to the end of runs in the chase. Vent work will include new
boot at roof and all vent piping. Includes water, waste, vent, and trap primer and accessories
to service 6 units at each restroom. Any additional piped fixtures beyond 12 total will be
additive Alt. #1. $3100 ea. If fixtures need to be removed from the walls; which we
recognize/understand they do not; unless water is leaking into the bathroom side, this would
be an additive Alt. # 2. at $625 per fixture. Water lines will be in copper. Permits
included. Final Clean to consist of sweep or compressed air of work area and disposal of all.
related refuse. Our base price for the above work not counting additive alternates is $35,966
plus tax. This includes prevailing wage, intent, affidavit and certified payroll. Lastly, we
understood this work was desired ASAP so as to avoid the warmer season, and
understand this work can start in March; if it can not be awarded and permitted to Start in
March, we would have to review timelines before committing to a contract.
Base Bid Plus tax $35,966
Add #1 $3100 ea.
Add #2 $ 625 ea.
Regards,
Keith Bjella
