HomeMy WebLinkAboutNOA_Publication_200508CITY OF RENTON NOTICE OF APPLICATION RENTON, WASHINGTON DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Notice is hereby given that the City of Renton has accepted the following proposal for review: City of Renton 2019 Water System Plan Update LUA20-000107 Location: Citywide. The applicant, the City of Renton Public Works Department, is requesting SEPA Environmental (SEPA) Review for the City of Renton 2019 Water System Plan Update. The subject plan will reviewed as a non-project action, as defined by Section 197-11 -774 in the Washington Administrative Code. The plan primarily serves as an update to the City of Renton’s 2012 Water System Plan and was develop ed collaboratively by City staff, Carollo Engineers, Inc. (Carollo), and Pacific Groundwater Group. The plan documents the current status of the water system and evaluates future needs of the water utility and will be used as a guide in maintaining and improving the water system in the short-term over the next 10 years. It also provides a planning framework for the 20-year, long-term planning horizon. The primary purpose of this plan is to document changes to the City’s water system, identify required system modifications, and appropriately outline capital improvement projects to meet future water demands. Maintaining a current Plan is required to meet the regulations of the Washington State Department of Health (DOH) and the requirements of the Washington State Growth Management Act. The plan also contains estimated timeframes, which are the intended framework for future funding decisions. The applicant submitted an Environmental (SEPA) Checklist with the application. Comments of the proposal must be filed in writing on or before 5:00 p.m. on May 29, 2020.
